Thanks for the support guys, 6 (5 via the forum, 1 from work) laps done @ 44×x15 and a joint 2nd fastest descent of the day of West Hill.
1st 3: https://www.strava.com/activities/654462376
4th: https://www.strava.com/activities/654488020
5th: https://www.strava.com/activities/654536649
6th: https://www.strava.com/activities/654565287Followed by the downhill-most-of-the-way ride home: https://www.strava.com/activities/654613639
The most notable moment of the evening was probably descending West Hill in 1m04s, 3rd on the LFGSS Strava leader board: https://www.strava.com/activities/654565287/segments/16015143937
taking the full racing line, cutting corners on a completely empty road all the way down. Much fun.Still, it wasn't all downhill fun - apparently I managed to shave a second off (i.e. match) my best time up the hill too - https://www.strava.com/activities/654488020/segments/16013285875
So all in all an evening of effort, all for a good cause. Thanks for the casual tossing over of a fiver just as I was banking on a breather. Really appreciated.
Beaten by David Ross, whoever he be, also in the LFGSS Strava group who not only managed a faster time on the downhill but who now holds the KOM for the death TT on the same ride this evening for his "First Swains of the year" https://www.strava.com/activities/654438948 - I consider my parade well and truly rained on.

I'm going to Herne Hill this evening so would not be able to be around before 22:00+. Should I bother going up swain's or will everybody be gone?
-
• #26743
Go up Swains and if there's no one at the pub go back down and do it again. Repeat until bedtime.
That's what I would(n't) do.

• #26744
Hard to tell if there will still be people there, I could do with a reasonably early night tonight, but I've been saying that for 20 years and it hasn't happened yet. The think about pubs is that they serve beer, and that makes them very hard to leave.

I was gonna have an early night but am running late. Should be up there around 7.

I'm otherwise indisposed for a couple of weeks...
