Cheers buddy. Nah not NOS but the majority im finding tend to be in pretty damn good condition. Finished off the cogs, need to start on the pricey chainrings. Haha if I ever find a 50t we can chat about it ;)

I'll take it at the weekends. You can have sole custody if you like ;)

That one for £70 isn't in bad nick.. Want their two chainrings and also the 3R tool. But that's gonna be over £200 by the time tax kicks in and not sure I've got that right now!
Yeah I've been looking at covers but not found anything good. Seen a couple of 3R ones in vintage pics so may hold out for something like that ;)
@Thrasher no worries as long as you sit and look at it and not use it ;)
Here's an interesting old catalogue pic for dribbles over. Oh and that's The Monster whom my frame was built for..

Btw. What spoke nipples does one get to complete an NJS build?

No picture of the amount of teeth?

Cheers mate.
New finds are running dry... -
• #345
Not surprised, you've probably bought the entire western hemisphere stocks!
It's a masterpiece of a build, congrats! -
• #346
Haha thanks mate, appreciated. The chainrings are starting to sell for BS money these days, if and when they come up. Finding 52-54h is going to take an age.

What actually is the rules of NJS? I'm guessing the manufacture sends the Keirin body the component for testing and once they are happy it's up to standard, they have the manufacturer stamp each one?
-
• #348
Hey there. Pretty much.
NJS certifies the product in two ways.
Firstly, it's to make all races bikes and components equal and not give individuals advantages. This is to provide fair betting during Keirin races.
Secondly it's about quality and safety. All parts need to pass checks to ensure their worthiness. For example, Vivalo lost their NJS licence due to one or two incidents of the fork crown detaching.
Thirdly and what concerns us all most, it's just plain cool ;)
Cheers. T -

Almost there...
If anyone knows of Campag C-Record NJS chainrings in 48t and 54t then I'd be forever in their debt!
Cheers. T
