  • Nice Nouvo!!

  • Think it may be a later model

  • finished this one, had 3 or so hours in saddle and felt fine, tbh, pushing it size wise, trad geo frame and has a fist and a few fingers of seatpost exposed, so may pass this on, these ones (round tubed C40 mk1 Mapei Black Art Decor)don't come up that often though

  • nice looking mk1 there saarf

  • Cheers Captain!

  • Love that! Would be a shame to move it on.
Childish I know but 'fist and a few fingers' had me chuckling to myself for quite a while, reminds me of a movie I saw once.

  • Cheeky post in here (as its for a C40) but anybody comes across or has one of these I'd greatly appreciate a heads up

Need a left hand '02 record carbon crank arm like this one as mine has failed at the thread insert bond. Would consider a complete crankset with or without rings too.

172.5 if arm only otherwise not fussy.

  • thanks, and keep well lubed!

  • got the full comp from Stelios, so the 'new' nuovo is all on him!
L'eroica is fast aproaching , tempted to use that , or , go on the the un refurbished super cx , ragmuffin stylie

forks and stays do need a re chrome though

  • they got a "concourse du elgance" this year , be good if they have a fuck off rare ratbike section

  • unrefurbished super cx gets my vote!

  • aye , I'm feeling that way , chrome has gone as I said so i used an industrial wax spray to coat and seal them till they get done
i'm down for the 130 odd km one, so may do a 1x6/7 combo and just soak it all up
was talking to someone at critical mass who did it on a refurbed gazelle champ, fully rally gruppo , and it poured so he had to strp frame to was all the white silt out
the super cx will be broken down again any way and it won't matter if it gets a scratch or two en route , scored an nos ofmega cx crankset, complete with chain guards for decent dough as well
did 53 miles in 3;16 on the mk1 c4o this eve, could have stayed out longer as felt comfortable , pleased with saddle , no major arse ache

  • I wouldn't heli-coil into a carbon recess

  • That did cross my mind actually but not sure the carbon would take a thread. Looks as though the alloy insert with the square taper has come loose inside, maybe the 'glue' has deteriorated. I think it was an issue with others at the pedal thread end.
I did think of drilling some 1mm holes into the arm around the insert and injecting some epoxy into it. Nowt to lose really as its pretty useless as it is, well creaks like hell anyway.

  • Nice Master Ibex mtb on the bay

  • My Colnago Dream Lux with Campag Record

  • good shot, tidy work, would bang

  • having seat post issue with the super Cx, appears 27 or 26.8 instead of 27.2 one , got to confirm and find right sized Campagnolo Sr one in time

  • Not a fan of the alu frame but very nice bike.

  • why u no fan ? aesthetic or performance wise?
