Thanks for the heads up. Luckily the titanium frame has 82mm between the studs, so no problems there. However the Van Tuyl is 62mm at the fork, and 68 in the rear. I have however successfully run V's on my gfs touring bike, which was 62 at the fork. All the spacers on the outside, and a bit of filing to the pad (non rim side) made it work perfect. Not ideal, but what the hell.
Funny you mention the allen skewer. I considered it, but i didnt actually think they could hold more than a fully tensioned quick release. I guess ill give it a go
might be a bit late, but careful with mini vs. On earlier cross bikes the canti studs are closer together so mini vs and modern cantis won't fit. old canti studs are about 68mm apart, new ones nearer 82mm. If the rear bosses are about 62mm then you can run shimano cx-50 or cx-70 cantis, which are the best ones that will fit.
