Not driven one, but a light, front engine, rear drive coupe is pretty much what I'm after ultimately.

Not really light but have you thought about a nicely specced Z4 3.0. Usable, plenty of power and with a couple of light mods could be suitable for trackdays. They've also seemed to have bottomed out value wise and good ones are starting to rise again.

Saw a really tidy z4 hardtop, coupe?, with some subtle mods, could go for one of those or a similar age s2000, they seem to blow up less than rx8
