Glad I went out before work this morning! Feel for all the guys running around the city this lunchtime. 10 min steady then 3 x 3 min @ 5k pace with 3 min recoveries then 10 mins steady for me around Clapham Common was a good way to start the day. Almost ready for lee valley 5k in a week and abit.

^ run to work was warm but manageable, run home was hellish lots of walk stops to bring hr down after setting off too fast.

Stopped running for a week whilst I was in France and just did alot of cycling. Came back home, went out a run and struggled so much with it. 1 week out and your pace and fitness really drops!
Anyone else's breathing a problem in this humidity? -
• #13858
^ I think im fairly lucky, the warmer it gets the better I feel so the humidity does not give me any problems. I have seen alot of runners struggling this week, particularly in the city, which I am putting down to the weather so I think you are far from alone.

Thought of your recent tumbles afterwards!

Did 52 it looks like, in 5 stages (1 small to find bivvy spot) st4 was tough as 4hrs moving/faffing no brekkie, and protein bars didn't cut the mustard. had a kip on a bench waiting for pub to open made last 7.5 a breeze after.
4 stages finished at pubs, happy days.

Whats D2D?

Should have written DtD really, but yeah that's it.
Some more pics, including recovery Nachos feast, and view from bivy at about 1am.
Moving ok if not bouncing about today, shoulder sore from tumble. Might visit swim pool tomorrow instead of run commutes.

This was well worth the wait, its run by a 70+yr old who hasn't changed a fixture in 25yrs by looks of it. The Quiet Woman in Earl Sterndale. Didn't get a pic tho.

Hope it works for you, much cheaper than electrolyte tabs too!

Looks ace, well done dude! Anything good on at Buxton tap?
I've done it a few times, no-one's stopped me. It's great, a few yards of rocky scramble getting in, then it's about 8ft deep the whole way across. It was already very warm by late April, should be cooking now.
