I was sat on a chair, 250m after the finish line of my first one saying "we're doing this again next year". You set goal, miss goal, go back smash goal, set new goal, smash new goal, then start failing so change goals completely. :)
I don't consider the course lumpy so I would use a bigger gear than you had if I was silly enough to ride fixed.
Time in bike is invaluable.

You should train on the 'food' you are going to use in the race. As you now know, digestion becomes a big issue.
Will depend on brownie points and school term dates but probably yes (and I'm saying that not much more than 24h after finishing.)
Having done it once and seen how it all works I've got a huge list of things I'd do differently.
I'd need:-
Still unsupported (at least throughout the night) but would get my stomach used to carb drink so stops would be minimal.
