It looks great with the black crankset. Very tall. A 60, right?

Can someone upload a pic with a sensible way of cabling DA 7800 or Ultegra 6400 STI's (left lever front brake, right lever rear brake). Do you cross the gear cables?

That a pretty big range, 30/34 is useful if you're fully loaded, bikepacking or just a single pair of panniers 11-28 is more than doable.

Yeah you're probably right, to be fair I got a little over-excited with the possibilities. "Go large or go home" crossed my mind when deciding on what to run here.
It's not without some thought though.
On the one hand I don't get time to put enough miles in these days to be in top form come the summer, on the other hand every time I get given time to go touring I want to take the scenic/mountainous route. This time around the scenic, mountainous, and gravelly. My experience being I'll probably need a little help at some point.

That a pretty big range
Nobody ever came back from the mountains regretting that they never needed their biggest sprocket.

• #109186
Yes potentially.
Send me photos. What model is it? -

I'm looking at all the different ways for DA shifters - Google dura ace 7800 shifters cabling and you will get loads of different examples.
Then look at - Eric Zabel DA 7800 shifters and you will see another method which is interesting using a metal outer housing. -

Can you run v brakes on frames that are meant for cantis? Tried to fit a deore rear brake to my muddy fox seeker and the pads needed to be spaced more toward the rear rim? And then the spring arm would pop out when any pressure is applied to the brake...
errrr..
