  • Well done Greenbank, 24 hrs are no fun when you feel good but with all the problems you had and on a low gear that was a good ride.

Rob Bullyment our rider was going well on his schedule he was on 86" fixed 100 miles in 5h30m 12 hours 245miles and it really looked like our Catford CC Club record of 463miles 508yards from 1952 was in his grasp but I think the afternoons heat had taken it's toll on everyone, all seemed to suffer in the night by 7am he was on 346miles with six 1/2 hours to go. I have just had a text he has provisionally ridden 462miles never have I been so amazed and disappointed at the same time that is a phenomenal recovery in the last six hours but I really hope they find that extra one mile 508yards in the official check, he is so close to the record!

Michael Broadwith had a proper wobble in the night we were right next to his helpers he complained feeling shit at 1:00am but they pepp talked him in to continuing, by the morning he was twenty mins down on his schedule but started to claw it back so he did well under the circumstances.
I will post a link to my photos once up.

  • I really hope they find that extra

I've just been for dinner with him (and Richard and Chris). The second set of provisional results give him the record by a few hundred yards.
