Upon googling it, apparently that have been added later.
Doesn't matter dude, if you gave them to me to fit on your bike, I'd says no right on the spot.
Do the magic gearing route, your bike not only will work well, but look a million time better than a big clunk of steel sticking out of the delicate Cannondale drop out.

Likely to be the hydraulic housing that enter the frame from the top of the down tube.
It's a common complaint from the CAAD12 Disc owner as there's nothing holding the housing inside the down tube.

My biggest complaint is those bloody hydraulic hose decouplers. They rattle like nothing else on my bike.
Bike assembly cheating I say. Poor show Cannondale. -

Do like. Neo-reto Dales look so cool when done right.

Why didn't either of the ones I test rode do it then?
-
• #6469
Because they were likely to be fitted differently.
Is the housing veery long? Lift and drop the bike to see if it make a rattle.

If it's like mine, housing was long but okay, until I slammed the stem and then it became too long, as Ed points out.
I think it's compounded by being so tight around the BB so there is no option to move the slack more evenly throughout the frame -

Love this, looks so good.

When it become too long, the housing enter at a more awkward angle, which result in the housing hitting the wall of the tubing.
I have shorten the housing on a customer's CAAD12 Disc last week, allowing the housing to enter the frame in a less severe angle, hopefully it work (since the customer haven't yet to return after this).
Soho Bikes should be able to sort you out @Dammit

This is excellent btw, nicely done
It's not held by a single bolt. It also has an added width to be in contact with the existing dropout and another bolt to keep it secure. I think you miss some information. I will post further pictures to show you how it's done.
