  • It's a common complaint from the CAAD12 Disc owner as there's nothing holding the housing inside the down tube.

    Why didn't either of the ones I test rode do it then?

  • If it's like mine, housing was long but okay, until I slammed the stem and then it became too long, as Ed points out.
    I think it's compounded by being so tight around the BB so there is no option to move the slack more evenly throughout the frame

  • When it become too long, the housing enter at a more awkward angle, which result in the housing hitting the wall of the tubing.

    I have shorten the housing on a customer's CAAD12 Disc last week, allowing the housing to enter the frame in a less severe angle, hopefully it work (since the customer haven't yet to return after this).
