My mate Kim's got one, 1969... He's changed the pickguard, tortoiseshell now... Nowhere near as nice... Those old Fender pearloid scratchplates are well brittle... Another mate had to replace the one on his '72 Thinline... Tragic...

Awesome. Nice and clean.
I had one of the first Black Machine guitars and it looked almost identical to that. Something great about a naked tele shape.
