Well, it's a different era innit. Far more specialism; had he been competing in the 60s/70s, he'd be picking up GT wins I reckon. I'm not sure there's been a rider since Hinault who could win on a mountainous (not high mountains, maybe little ones) stage one day and win a sprint the next.
