People do what they enjoy and different people enjoy different things.
pay attention on any forum ride and you'll see bystanders with sour faces just for the sheer fact people have ridden past them having fun. when i go running with a group some people will make a point of moving into our path because they dont like the fact we're doing something they don't deem as an acceptable pastime.
Given the choice however I'd rather be the person causing others no real harm, being sociable and enjoying themselves than the person wasting energy making value judgements on people because they don't have the exact same tastes as them.
