There's a lot of speculation spreading about Froome and Porte mounting a combined breakaway on the final climb and Porte being gifted the win. That's a wonderful idea, very bromantic. Also not going to happen. Just because Porte once rode for Sky, doesn't mean there's any allegiance there. It's the same as when Sky first won with Froome and pay off their debt to Cavendish for the shambles the year before. You just don't lead out a rider for another team.
If Sky wanted to 2up the final climb, it would be with Froome and Henao or Froome and Pauwels or Froome and anyone else from the Sky train who has helped him get where he is in the race.
If Froome and Porte end up away up the road as a pair, it'll be as a natural development of the race and if Froome gifts Porte the win it will be because he's earned it today, not some previous year.
