p-clips?

I thought about P Clips. I'm not sure how well they would work on a non-round fork. Anyone have any experience of using them on a bladed type carbon fork?

I'm having trouble with the crap front pizza rack that the delivery company I am doing some part-time work with have demanded I fit.
The ends that fit over the axle are really thick and they're interfering with how the track nuts tighten which means the wheel isn't straight in the fork, and they're not really adjustable at all so I can't get it properly flat.
Is there some way of mounting it elsewhere, like this (from the first page):
]
What is that?
Or should I just sack the shitty rack off and buy a Pelago one as an 'investment'?

I know we have already discussed this, but that would be super easy to fabricate. It comes with the Minora rack.

you can shape them to fit, pop some cloth bar tape underneath.

After initial reservations about the join on my pelago have to say I'm really impressed with it, has been great touring so far and I'm feeling confident using it for Nantes-BCN next week. The pannier mounts are well placed as well imo not too high kind of between traditional front rack and low rider position.

I got a pair of those from Fitzrovia cycles

Excellent, thanks. I'll try that

I can't see what they are, but do Fitzrovia still sell them?

You may have been through this already, but is there a front rack that would attach to quick release axles? I am looking for a rack that would attach to the axle and the brake bolt (caliper brakes).
Would a pelago rack work?
Thanks... -

I've done that setup with a pelago and it works fine

Cheers, wasn't sure about whether it had the correct adaptors, there aren't many pics of this set up. your text here...

You get 3 adapters:
The first one fits over a track axle, like on my fixed gear bike:
The second two are for eye lids.
When you say you want to attach the rack on the quick release axle, do you mean the actual tiny axle going through the wheel axle? I can't imagine it being safe putting the majority of the load on such a thin axle.

Thanks mate, yeah that was my worry too. I do have a track axle front wheel I could use instead...

@Technics100 cheers I got it in the end. Fitted it this morning after having trouble with the brake mount fitting on my bike so had to order a different one
-

I had no fitting issues on my day-one, but someone on here messaged me about fitting issues at the fork crown.. glad you got sorted..

@Technics100 I've got a Brother all day and the distance between the brake hole and the headset is really small so the mount wasn't fitting properly and was also rubbing the tyre.
Had to bend a new mount into place, bit of a hack for now but someone on here might have a better idea, will post a picture later -

Here's my new Atran Velo Cargo Mini front rack. Pretty happy with it, still fairly long but not so wide which I wanted.
The brake mount that came with it didn't fit the bike so I had to bend into place a rear rack mount. Does the job but means there is a little bit of movement when going over bumps.
If anyone knows where to get spare mounts like what's found on the Pelago or Minoura that would be great. I cheaped out though so that's what you get

Has anyone used this rack on a non trek 920 fork? I'm wondering if I could get it to work with a surly/ thorn fork, It's half the price of the similar blackburn outpost.

Where did you get the rack from? I cant seem to find them anywhere in the Uk and ccant find a stockist list of a store on the Atran site, I'm looking for the wider version of yours.

@HPx93 got it from eBay, I think it was shipped from Europe but was still a decent price considering how much most front rack are
On another note has anyone here used a full size bigxtop Rando? Just wondering how much you can fit in there
-
• #199
ahh right! thanks, shame they don't do them in silver too. think i might just have to take a punt on it as any other rack I've found that looks remotely like what i want is at least double the price!
-
• #200
@HPx93 For the price its a really good rack, only negatives are the brake attachment as above and the fact that racks like that Pelago have loads of different types of attachments whereas this is only axle. But yeah that's double the price
Is there any recommendations for a rack or mounting kit for a carbon fork that has no rack mounts? It's got a 15mm thry axle, disk brakes and isn't drilled for traditional drop brakes
