Just brought this for commuting/pub bike et . Paid 60 for it, just threw on some deore v brakes and lever with swept bars, delightful.
Paint is really nice! And for a bike from 1989 it's in amazing condition.

This. ^
Also just buy black mtb and do your own splatter paint job and buy/make some dope stickers. -

Ha. Maybe.
Just buy a black mtb for a tenner is quite a feat around here. Anyway, gonna steer clear.

Loads of Marins and Konas in Scandinavia
-
• #109162
Talking about Konas here's my summer project. Circa '94 Explosif. Top of the range. Light as a feather.
My dream bike when I was a kid.
Slightly less dreamy as I've had to mix threadless and threaded headsets to make the 1 1/8" threaded P2 forks fit.
Tracked down a velocity stem as well which I was pleased about. -

the picture I tried to post was from a 1994 Breezer Thunder I recently found. I wasn't a kid anymore back in 1994 (21 years old) but I liked the Breezer and Kona's a lot. Never bought one untill this week.

Would love to see photos, just googled it and those look like awesome bikes!
I commuted on my Kona today, felt weird. Probably just not used to the position as I'm usually a little more upright on my caadx -

If you're ever in Stavanger, I've got loads of old steel mtbs in many sizes. I get them through work as people donate bikes to us. Marin, ridgeback, dbs, gt, trek, miyata, kona etc
Postage would top their worth though.
Hit me up if your interested.

Right now it's only a frameset but have the 8 speed LX from that period too so will start building it soon. Nice thing is: found the same week a Breezer Venturi road bike from the same year too. Bad thing is: the roadbike is not my size (but bought it anyway is it was cheap and I can use the grouset that's on it (Campa Centaur).
Will post pictures later.
