What about the star nut? Either it's the extender with a quill and therefore I'm still in same predicament or it's one of the ones that sits over the tope of the steerer which I can't use without chopping because I can't clamp onto threading.
It's the one with the quill. It acts as the star nut, the bolt for the quill is threaded down the middle for a top cap.
There's no point as I'd still have to use the current threadless/threaded combo setup.
