I've heard all sorts from getting caught playing away by his wife, to being leant on by drug dealers/gangsters. Though it may have been his missus not liking life in NW England (They're now divorced).

For the first half of his season he was the perfect replacement for Tevez, 2nd half he was like Torres @ Chelsea.

Miss out on your number 1 target (Gotze), then pay £30m for your number 2 target (Mane), and £25m for someone who was never a target at all (Wijnaldum), on the same day it's announced your number 1 target (still Gotze) has been sold to another club for £20m.

i quite rate him mike. difficult for anyone decent playing for newcastle last season. would be interesting to see what he does at a better club. guess we will have to wait until you have sold him on to find out.

I've got a friend from Lecce (where Conte is also from) and apparently he's widely despised there. He played for Lecce before Juve, but then went on to manage Bari (Lecce's big rivals) later.

He claimed he had no loyalty to Lecce and supported whoever paid his wages, and then when Bari beat Lecce in a game which would have seen Lecce promoted, celebrated on the pitch with the Bari ultras with a flag saying something like 'anyone but the shit Lecce'.

There's also all the match-fixing stuff...
