did you have the domed sapphire on your 55f? It's starting to get closer to the price of the Helson than I thought by the time you sort out dial, crystal, hands to do it proper! But I do quite fancy the tinkering. You've caused me no end of thought. Any photos of yours?

MIne was mid-domed. I sold it a few years ago. Will see if I can dig out an old photo from old backups.

I've owned both a 55 fathoms and a Skindiver.
Skindiver is the nuts. The ceramic bezel and domed sapphire are amazing in the flesh. It is the watch that gets most comments when I wear it. Actually, its the only watch I own that gets comments.
Its more spendy but the Helson wins over a Seiko Blancpain mod every time.
