Top tip - tyre marks should come off nicely with a clean putty rubber (easily available in any art shop).
Sounds like shite to me too. Maybe the agent was 'held up' getting to yet another red traffic light in their silly little liveried car, while on the phone/playing Pokemon, on their way to meeting you?
