Sold! Thanks for interest
Purchased this sprayed, 58cm Dolan pre cursa with 1" head tube and an alu fork plus bb headset and some bits for £90 off here. Had headset fitted and fork cut down, also needed new bb as spindle arms of bb were too long for my single speed cranks.
£60 for:
Frameset
Headset+bb (new bb fitted professionally I think)
Stem and some ergo looking drops
Sugino messenger cranks
Chain (used)
Seatpost (generic), no seatclamp tho
Or £40 for everything bar cranks.
Reason for low price: upon riding it for about a week (annoyingly after paying to have new bb) I had an unrelated mechanical. Bike shop, when removing rear wheel, noticed resistance when moving wheel around in rear drop outs. I had noticed this when building the bike but thought nothing of it (my rear wheel was old). Turns out one of the drop outs is slightly bent- not enough to affect the riding experience but as the frame is alu he said this creates a risk of failure/cracking (I'd assume it would crack). I continued to ride it for another month and a bit until I found a cheap replacement with no problems, and no crack has developed (I'd recommend any buyer to inspect it themselves in person).
Got £20 back off seller, it's sat unused and I'm leaving London so it's for sale.
This is basically a cheap way to get on the road if you need to, and hey, you may ask another shop and they might say it's absolutely fine.
Old Kent road collection only. Unsure of how to price this thing so let me know if that's a bad price. Don't wanna oversell it/take the piss.
Never had this with a bike before, so don't know if the bike shop was just doing its conscientious duty to inform me of the issue or whether it legitimately makes the bike unusable- maybe you guys can inform.
