Been up in E'burgh with work a bit recently - running up Arthur's Seat and down the back to Duddington Loch for a swim in the snow is a fine way to finish the working day.
I've done it a few times, no-one's stopped me. It's great, a few yards of rocky scramble getting in, then it's about 8ft deep the whole way across. It was already very warm by late April, should be cooking now.
