you definitely get higher CP pokemon spawn the higher level you are. highest i've had spawn was 836cp (i was level 15). Probably goes to show you shouldn't waste any stardust leveling pokemon when you're low level as you'll get higher ones spawn anyway.
I wonder if the rarer ones have a higher potential cp too?

There's one near Old St roundabout held by a 1600+ blastoise. I still don't really understand how to get mine to be stronger.

I think you just have to get out and play more, I can't really be arsed to put the hours in atm... May have to GPS spoof and play from home... 🎶🙄

Yeah I've just about given up, got pretty dry pretty quickly.

aparently the meta for the game is evolving evee's if you name them differently before evolving you can pick which of the 3 it turns into. all of them at least double in CP (top one is 2.6x original cp).

A gym South side of Blackfriars Bridge has an Arcanine CP 1167. That's crazy. I'm not even over CP 450 right now.

This is making me wanna go out and catch a few of these fuckers, but TdF... I'll go tomorrow...

There are so many people playing here that the PokeStops up on the seafront have got lures on most of the time... It's like shooting Magikarp in a barrel...

I need to catch another Pinsir so I can level him up to the max...

Just evolved a whole bunch of my Pokémon, my stable looks a bit healthier now... Still pitiful tho'... #loser

I think the best strategy is to collect loads and loads of them, hit up every poke stop you can as often as possible, transfer all your doubles for candy as you go, level up as high as you can be arsed and then evolve... You wind up with higher CP Pokémon that way...

Then again, I could be talking out of my arse... 🙃

I did win a couple of battles at a gym the other day, didn't get all the way through tho' so didn't get a defender spot... Combat is a bit shit...

leveling then evolving rather than evolving then leveling doesn't make any difference in my experience.

I think it's best to collect as many as possible. Then evolve the ones that are already high cp. This will give you a decent amount of high cp pokemon. Then if you really want, spend your stardust on bumping up your fav's (ie. don't waste your stardust)

but i wouldn't spend the stardust until your at >level 18

Only evolve stuff that's high cp, I'm more or less now only evolving stuff that was orange/red when I went to catch it.

Evolving CP is based on personal Level.

So level up as much as you can, then evolve.

Power up when you cannot evolve any more (if an evolve is possible, wait to evolve).

If you're in an area that spawns load of low cost evolving pokemon, then it's a good idea to catch and evolve as many of these as you can for the level boost. We get loads of pidgey that cost 12 to evolve, they seem easiest method of leveling.

ie catch a shit load of pidgey, use a lucky egg, then evolve them all

I smash my stardust straight away after I do my regular PokéRoute on the way to the shops, through a park with about 10 Pokestops in it then back home along the seafront with another 10 or so... Loads of Pokémon caught en route and I generally wind up with about 3000+ stardust, sometimes a lot more... That's the only time I really play, when I go to the supermarket... 😬

Oh and powering up pokemon that can't evolve is good.

I am convinced zubats are specifically designed to drive up demand for pokeballs on the secondary micropayments market. trickiest fuckers to nail with a pokeball.
