That's similar to what I'm doing now. On the turbo 4 times a week + Saturday ride. I'm using Zwift with built in workouts. I tend to swap between 3 or 4. Some sprint intervals, some ftp intervals, some a mix. The Gorby, Wringer, McCarthy and SST Short. You can make your own workouts in it too.

What's the concensus on the best software/training system to use for setting up a proper structured training routine?
I've always relied on sheer volume of training combined with club rides/races for fitness, but changes in lifestyle mean that I'm not racing, club rides are getting fewer and farther between and there are too many interuptions to my routine to rely on getting sufficient volume. So I'm going to try switching to an entirely turbo based cycling life and treating any commutes or club rides as a bonus.
Over the last 6 months I've lost a lot of fitness and want to get it back up again as quickly as possible, build on top of that if possible and plan to start TT'ing once I'm up to speed. I'm guessing I'll want to create a training plan of FTP tests, weekly plans of intervals and try and get out as much as possible on top.
Back when I was running my wired PowerTap it was Training Peaks offline software and after I'd dropped off Trainerroad was just about getting going. Is Trainerroad still king?
