Thank you! Think I've guessed it.

Ludd provided the Boom! clue, and it wasn't in the picture post.
-
• #18129
It's not the one that's closing, nor the ex cinema wetherspoons. Is there another?
-
• #18130
Correct. Ludd's one isn't closing.
I'm unaware of there being an ex-cinema Wetherspoons other than The Capitol in Forest Hill - and this isn't it.
There is a Wetherspoons around the corner from the one that's closing - but I'm not sure that is relevant.
Anyhow, I'm starting to get that uncomfortable feeling of thread hogging, like when you break into someone's house and have a kip in their bed and try on all their shoes, before leaving the place otherwise undisturbed.
Or something. -
• #18131
There is another ex-cinema Wetherspoon's, but it's north of the river, so Jurek would never find it. :)
-
• #18132
North of the river.
What exactly is that? -
• #18133
North of the river? It used to be under water.

I passed this spot just after you, I doubt it will be available later... but if it is, it's mine.

It's one of those pieces of architecture that makes one marvel at the whole practice.

I've been watching them build it for three years. It's taken that long just to put the bloody bricks on. Mind you, they could have been a lot quicker if more than about 6 people had been working on the site at any one time.

• #18139
Hurrah!
We're off.
Interesting brickwork.
ETA. And fenestration. -

I read that the gaps are just small enough to stop pigeons nesting inside.

Uploading this on a train, so desperately hoping the pics work.

Old: St John's Waterloo
I was going to do the Waterloo Arts Centre, but I realised when I got there it had been done a few months ago. So I looked for another one. Turns out there's quite a few others to choose from.

This tag seems to have stumped everyone for 11 days (and counting)...
can't use the weather as an excuse at the mo...
-
• #18144
I hadn't noticed the change. Might have a chance on the way home from work tomorrow.
-
• #18145
It's a bit tricky, but not too difficult.
-
• #18146
Haven't dipped into this thread for a while so didn't know this was the tag when I rode past it twice yesterday.
-
• #18147
11 days? I was going for a personal best there. Speaking for myself, the constant bombardment of depressing news has been such a distraction recently that poor old tag has taken second place. As long as we don't get merged with the Pokemon Go thread, I think we'll be fine.
-
• #18148
Yes, same here. Awful news and a house move have consumed all my energies. It's a lovely evening for a spin though...

And I thought we nearly had Tagxit there.

It's too hot. :)

Old: WAC x2, for Boris and Nige. This time up in Belsize Park.
Fuck knows how you got that out of the picture Jurek but your clue has lead me to it...
