That sounds do-able. I've got a pretty good range of wet and dry grades from re-finishing aluminium bike stuff. Cheers!
I'm a big fan of opinels. Got a couple of 8s that permanently live in pencil case and camping bits bag. Removed the locking ring on the pencil case knife as it's often in my bag, out and about.

You can use increasingly fine sandpaper/wet-and-dry paper stuck to a piece of glass/tile.
