Look on retrobike and see if you can get a set of the classic LX/XT ones, they're great and look pretty nice on classic builds. esp if you can find some of the black ones (most lx were black I think )

Gotta say I use these fully loaded and they work ggggggrreeeeaaattt. Wrong levers or pads maybe? GLWS!

I've kept them for the time being and might switch them up again if rack combination isn't great.
I've made a lot of mistakes in my life. Joining a graduate recruitment programme in which no one could tell me what I would be doing when I started being one. Not leaving immediately being another. These decisions pale into comparison with my decision to buy a set of cantilever brakes for my classic touring build.
No really.
These brakes look boss but their performance is dire. They're just about manageable on an unloaded bike but there's no way they're stopping you with a load on anything steeper than 7%.
So you're welcome to them at 50% off.
Brakes are in excellent condition, having ridden maybe 50 miles in the dry. The yoke cable hasn't been shortened so you're welcome to run them as low or high as you like.
Postage at cost (£3.50ish) or I might be able to leave them with @photoben for collection if he's nice.
