I stopped by the newly opened cookies and scream in Camden this weekend, pretty amazing stuff. Had a brownie and a chocolate cookie in quick succession, perfect pre-ride fuel. Its inside the Camden lock market Hall, pretty tricky to find but well worth it in the end!

Sure, I'll serve you all a teaspoon-sized portion each . . . pine nuts are expensive ;)

So I'm working in York (the old one) for the next month or two. Apart from El Piano, anyone know anywhere worthwhile?

I've been toying with the idea of getting a vegan die-cut sticker done for the whip... would anyone else be interested? Not sure about the design or copy etc... ideas welcome!

Camden isn't worth going to with a trip to C&S, been there a few times myself recently, the ice cream sandwiches are amazing!

Way to sugary for me.

Yeh I'd be up for that. Maybe not on the bike - but for generals :)

Any particular area in York? Or particular food?
These are all within the city centre..
Bicis Y Mas - a bike shop with a veggie cafe that has vegan options. (Cake, biscuits, pulled bbq jackfruit sandwich, vegan breakfast). All made in the cafe. I recommend the breakfast.
Kiosk - Hipster coffee shop, always have vegan options, menu changes every few weeks. Last menu had a beetroot burger with pickled veg and slaw. Also always have a vegan flapjack/cake/snack.
Los Moros - North African food, always has a vegan option. Located in the Shambles market. Owned by the nicest guy ever. £4.50 for a dish.
Goji - veg/vegan restaurant that has a deli counter for to-go foods. Cakes, scones, pastries, salads, wraps etc. Pretty average vegan food that hasn't changed in 10 years. But worth having a look in the window.
Shambles Kitchen - food stall on Parliament street (not the shop on the shambles) will have a vegan burrito for £6, starting from this Friday.
Ugot - in the train station, has vegan wraps, soup, raw cheesecake, oatmeal, smoothies/juices. Expensive.

Any recommendations for vegan dinner around Holloway/London Fields before the Dynamo tonight?

Went to vegan beer fest today. Beetroot burger was fantastic (and I hate beetroots). The selection of IPAs and ALEs made me miss booze so much that I had to leave ;). It'll be around till 8 PM. Pop over if you are in the area.

I wrote a lengthy thank you to this post the other day, which seems to have gone awol. Looking forward to trying some of these next week. Last week I was stuck in a hotel out of town in Fulford, which is a cold place for vegans.

This was a great suggestion, thanks!

I was at Veg Bar once and when another customer approached our table to ask about what was good from the menu there was just a long awkward silence. It sucks not having anything good to say about a vegan eatery.

Been once at Veg Bar. Never again. Better go to your local cafe and get some beans on toast.
Anyone going to Brixton VegFest?

If you want a proper restaurant then I'm not too sure really, if you want something a bit more relaxed you can't go wrong with Cook Daily at Boxpark... Pizza East do amazing pizzas as do VooDoo Rays... good thing about the pizza places is good beer as well
That topping sounds great. I do a moussaka with a falafel top usually. Going to give this a try.
