103mm spindle for 75s?
They are supposed to use 109mm spindle.
And then the ISO/JIS thing, 75s are ISO and rd2 are JIS -
• #3328
wait, it fits 45s? Photos of this please.
that would be amazing.

• #3329
yea theres quite a lot of clearance

Hmmm, 1993 should take note of that, my chainline seems okay though, if its off i can't tell.
I think the older ones are JIS? Or none NJS ones are, i've got some 75's on a JIS and its fine

ISO cranks work on JIS axles, but not the best thing, as it could ruin the square taper on the crank. I ran 75s on a shimano axle, 118 I think, without any issue.
JIS cranks must not be assembled on ISO axles, cause they don't let you tighten properly the crank bolt and will ruin the taper and maybe cause accidents.
As far as I know 75s have always been ISO.
What sounds strange to me is running 75s on 103mm axle -

I think it is sheldon who says that ISO crank on a JIS spindle stands 4mm further out than the sae lenght ISO spindle. Therefore 107mm JIS bb puts the chainring of an ISO chainset in the same position as 111mm ISO bb.

yep
http://www.sheldonbrown.com/bbtaper.htmlive run just basic 107mm shimano bb on 75's without issues. that kind of ruins the resale value though. dont go switching back and forth as you might ruin the cranks.

According to tester there's no significant difference between JIS and ISO tapers, if I recall correctly
-
• #3338
the angle of the taper is the same, the length of the tapered part varies even between different brand of the same taper (atleast truvativ and shimano jis had different length of tapered part). Just make sure it doesn't stick out too much or bottom out and you'll be fine.

Currently building a fixed/disc Condor for winter.
When my front rim gets worn out on my Vig, tempted to slap a disc fork on.
Anyone else done this? Need to find something with a similar rake. -
