Having thought of it, I love how he just started running rather than throw a tantrum.

Fitting that De Gent honours the stage to Broeckx
-
• #1204
I feel sorry for Froome but if the results are held, it will force Sky to go on the offensive...which will make the race a lot more entertaining

• #1205
All the barriers will still be at the top of the mountain
-
• #1206
I really don't think they'll be held.

Unless an actual child crawled in front of the moto it's hard to imagine why it stopped in that way.
-

Motorbike running into a spectator even at relatively slow speeds could do some serious damage, sure the organisers would want to avoid that...also natural reaction for a rider to stop if human in front regardless of racers behind

On the moments prior to the crash (about 5 seconds of live tv), why the three were drafting that bike? Was it because it already started to slow down way before or they were simply drafting?
-
• #1210
It's got to be to do with how the stage was shortened... So many fans. In the footage everyone cheering just goes quiet

They need to fit the motos with cattle catchers:
Problem solved :)
-
• #1212
they should not have to worry about going fast, eh? it's a race?
-
• #1213
They weren't drafting it, surely? It was sitting close in front of them to get a good shot...
-
• #1214
maybe they DQ froome for running
-
• #1215
Maybe instead of motorbikes they should have some bicycles with motors in
-
• #1216
Froome takes a quick stem glance at the worst possible moment.
-
• #1217
I'd still put my bets on Froome if the results aren't changed...
-
• #1218
Not sure if serious, but I thought cameras have telescopic lenses? :)
-
• #1219
I wonder if Yates even turns up to the presentation/accepts the jersey?

Motorcycles.
Genius.

I am really pissed for Porte. He had such bad luck.

Sky directeur sportif Nicholas Portal said it was a nightmare out on the climb.
"There was no room for the motos or the riders to pass with the crowds. Chris's bike was broken in the crash and now we're waiting to see if commissaires decide to do something. I was blocked by the commissaires so i was behind Geraint Thomas when the incident happened. We were too far back. Everybody was blocked, including the Mavic neutral service car. It was a nightmare.”

Lots of respect if he doesn't
-

I did wonder that, whether he's broken a rule by not having a bike with him. OTOH, the race organisers do have to take responsibility for him not having a bike in the first place as they're responsible for the person who ran it over.

In track cycling do you have to cross the line with your bike? I swear I've seen riders run over the line after a crash. That is just track cycling tho
