Unless an actual child crawled in front of the moto it's hard to imagine why it stopped in that way.

Motorbike running into a spectator even at relatively slow speeds could do some serious damage, sure the organisers would want to avoid that...also natural reaction for a rider to stop if human in front regardless of racers behind

On the moments prior to the crash (about 5 seconds of live tv), why the three were drafting that bike? Was it because it already started to slow down way before or they were simply drafting?

It's got to be to do with how the stage was shortened... So many fans. In the footage everyone cheering just goes quiet

I did wonder that, whether he's broken a rule by not having a bike with him. OTOH, the race organisers do have to take responsibility for him not having a bike in the first place as they're responsible for the person who ran it over.

In track cycling do you have to cross the line with your bike? I swear I've seen riders run over the line after a crash. That is just track cycling tho
