Is the rear wheel sitting well inside the dropouts? If the QR has been closed tightly while the cup on the NDS was sitting slightly out, that would probably bend the skewer... Or could be that the wheel moved on the dropouts while riding.
It is sitting straight in the dropouts now but that does make sense how it could have happened. Thanks for the explanation
