Yes! Good finish. Well deserved.
Sagan used to the end. Hope he gets that blowjob.

Kirby claiming this proves him right that Froome can pull his own in a sprint (I guess he got a lot of shit for that last time). The mind boggles.

Froome's never been a favourite of mine but this year he's getting mad props from me.
-

Be interesting to know how much Froome suffers from that tomorrow...regardless, was great to see

The 5 live commentators were just questioning whether the 12 second gain was worth the effort.
Surely 12 seconds is always worth a push? I know tours have been won by big margins recently but 12 seconds is a decent chunk to take from a stage where you were just expecting to maintain.

Froome doing a Hinault. Chapeau!

Sky has been such a better team this year in terms of aggressive racing. Much more exciting races thanks to it!
Still want them to lose.

Tonight at the Movistar hotel, a long and acrimonious discussion about where the hell else did nobody thing Froome would attack and what the fuck can the do about it.
Literally all he has to do now is look contemplatively at some road feature, give it a kick and all the other GC teams will panic and swarm him wasting energy. Good old psychological warfare.

I think its the effort required of Froome to gain that 12 seconds, which could have been saved and put to better effect on a TT or mountain finish
-
• #1011
You've got to factor in the psychological benefits too, Quintana will be wondering where Froome is going to attack him next.
-
• #1012
It's about time he starts to think about that!
-
• #1013
12 seconds gained on Yates, Martin, Quintana et al. Meintjes, Rodriguez and Rolland lost just over a minute.

Sounds like Cavs Di2 went into crash recovery mode
-
• #1015
I doubt 12 km of effort will cost him anything tomorrow. Sagan put in a lot more effort yesterday and looked ok today. Froome is just a brilliant, strong, tough rider.

• #1016
I dont understand this, he was 12 seconds on Yates yesterday
** nvm steephill updated now

Prudhomme confirms that tomorrow's stage will finish at Chalet Reynard, approx 7 kms shy of the Ventoux summit.
-
• #1018
Has this ever happened? Could actually make for a shorter sharper finish. I like the new Froome.
-
• #1019
The approach is going to be even crazier than usual then.

Froome's attacks have been sort of effective, but the biggest impact seems to be that he's Winning Hearts and Minds.

New Froome is a racer, good for him. Showing his colours. Classy.
But Sagan, is the absoloute man.
Sagan just chilling and slapping backs while Froome warms down on the trainer. Hulk does not need a warm down! -

Interesting to see that Sky's budget has also gone down slightly

Just needed a beer in his hand.

Saved money on camper van expenses this year.

Murdoch had a wedding to pay for.
He was making sure he got as much time as possible.
5 seconds in the end though. Plus 6 seconds bonus.
