Just had a hugely productive lunchbreak. Someone had put lures on two of the stops outside my building, so out I dutifully popped to find loads (<10, not LOADS) of people stood staring at their phones. Caught loads, pushing towards lv 7 now.

Just got to lvl 6 myself. One of the closer stops had a lure on it, by the time I got there it had ran out.

And the local gyms have lvl 10+ characters with crazy strong pokemon. Thought 6 of mine could take 1 down. Nope, 6 dead pokemon.

How are you guys getting it to run? I'm not App Store savvy enough to figure out how to change store from UK to US. Or is there some other workaround?

I think you have to make sure you're logged out of your Apple ID, then change the phone location to US, then go to the app store, download Pokemon and create a new US Apple ID at the same time.

Android, just find the APK, allow untrusted sources and go. No idea for Apple.

Note: It's not turn based like real pokemon, you tap tap tap the enemy then hold it down to do a "special".

That's a stronger crew than I've got (my strongest dude is 455, second 342).

(Suspect it's easier here as the game hasn't really been released).

I spotted an empty gym near me last night but CBF'd to go out and claim it... It's weird, haven't sussed that part of the game out properly yet...

There's a church across the street from our new place (which, btw, you're welcome to crash at if you need), so I don't really have to do anything. Added a bird to protect it yesterday (when someone else had captured it for team blue), it had been overthrown this morning, so I killed all the bastards and took it back.

It went gold pre-release?!
