BN is correct - pedal spindles, and the reason for asking here is that the pedals in question did this before (my other set of SiSl2's, now gone to Damon), but didn't do it on Ultegra cranks.
So I think there may be a "correct" way of doing this - which may of course be to throw the current pedals in the bin and use a different pair (I "fixed" the problem last time by swapping pedals).
Could the surface roughness (12-1 O'clock) be causing the noise?
And finally, should one use pedal washers with Hollowgrams?
