Not seen the slides so no idea how well these scans compare.

These are bloody great. Time to get that expired Velvia out of the freezer...

Thanks bud, I'd like to try it processed normally too but happy with these. Oh and all shot on the XA.

I went to the Portsoy boat festival, shot on the Nikon FE and portra 160

Really nice pics. Love the FE - learned to shoot and develop with one of those at school.
There's a bit of a purple cast that is easily fixed by shifting to green a little...
-
• #11937
Yeah there is do you know why?
I actually quite like the purple cast.. What do you guys think?
I've never really had a colour style and feel like I'm developing one.

The "developing photos" thread seems out of date so a quick question:
Developing B&W film...Any recommendations for good dev and scan?
I'm Cambridge based and can't find a local lab, so I'm looking mailorder I guess.

Ag-photolab are my go-to... They're quick, decently priced but mostly, they have a good eye for scans/colour correction.

I've used FilmDev.co.uk recently for some black and white stuff. £7 for develop and small scans. I was happy with the results (though I'm no expert). The scans aren't huge though you can pay a bit extra for bigger files.

I contacted PANDIS and they only dev B&W if it's c-41 process compatible - otherwise would have been ideal.

Ag-photolab - looks like this could be worth a try...." have a good eye for scans/colour correction." - definitely need that!

ah yes I missed that.
if it's B&W there's only one mail order place with great service and reasonable prices - PALM in Birmingham.
