Interested to know what those grips are like, I see a lot of people using them.

ESIs are lovely, been using them on my mtb since forever. Very hard wearing too

I've been using ergon, they're pretty good for the death grip, just a bit pricey

I love this bike & I now want one exactly the same
might get one of these or a genesis vagabond. someone give me a rough estimate for a full vagabond build w/rear & front (pizza) racks... £1500?

So, California is happening in two days. Pretty stoked. Will be there for two weeks and we got a rental waiting for us.
ESI grips are so nice btw. Looking forward to be putting some miles on them. Pedals also on and they seem to be what I was looking for. Still waiting for the 11-42 cassette, might get it just in time to bring it.

What's your plans? I'm looking at doing a coastal run once it gets a bit cooler there. Maybe seattle or portland to LA.

Flying to and from SF. We'll start by driving up to Lake Tahoe to do a couple of days on the Tahoe Rim Trail before heading down to Yosemite and Death Valley to ride and camp there. Then we'll probably head to LA and drive up Highway 1 to SF.
We'll take it day by day and do what we feel like, so could end up being something completely different. We got the car for the full two weeks, so we can be quite flexible.

Drove up to Lake Tahoe yesterday and put the bikes together. We had them in bike bags which we store in the car. Will do a loop for a couple of days now before heading to Yosemite.
I'll do a big picture post when I get back. You can also get some updates on insta and strava @larsenroed – at least if I find wifi.
Tires are 2.1"

Today was a good day! Sick climb up to a lake at 2800 meters yesterday. Camped and came back down this morning. 6km of singletrack dropping 500 meters. The bikes performed great, even fully loaded. Most fun I've had on a bike for a good while.
