Dot gov petitions in "not worth the click" shocker. More at 10.
The cynic in me thinks that the dot gov petition site has two purposes:-
- Provide a convenient distraction for the instant gratification generation to feel that they are doing something rather than having them actively lobby their MP, march or actively protest. I'm surprised there isn't a simple one-click app layer (for iPhone and Android) on top of it to make it even simpler for some people to really feel like their sticking it to the system whilst drinking their flat whites, etc, stereotyping continues....
- Gather names/emails/addresses and political opinions against those identities.
