Errr, I had noticed, hence I said that my road bikes differ subtly and my TT and track bikes more so. Actually, I couldn't resist checking and the variance between 5 road, road fixed and touring bikes is 22mm, this has never given me a problem. The bike I had a fitting done for sits in the centre of this range.

Conventional wisdom WAS that a tt position was considerably further over the bracket and rotated forwards, has all that changed?
I still seem to be alive (this is debateable).
