The benefit that you get with the metal disc filter of some of the oils getting into the coffee (something that you lose with paper) really shines through with this but, ultimately, without the usual sediment issues metal filters can result in.

Thinner is good: My current one is pretty beefy and if i don't really crank the filter holder tight i get leakage and have to start over.

Aeropress leakage is such a PITA, especially as there's usually about five people in the office kitchen stood around going 'oooh, fancy pants has got a fancy way of making coffee' and just willing something to go wrong so they can dismiss it as a faff and continue the mindless Kenco abuse.
