• My wife is VERY reluctantly selling her Holdsworth singlespeed bike.

This was lovingly built up for her by our friends at Fitzrovia Bicycles a few years ago but has spent a lot of that time in the shed as she has been using her Brompton instead. As our daughter gets older, it turns out we've accumulated a LOT of crap that needs to be stored in the shed. So this beauty needs to make way :-(

The frame is very light and all the components are of decent quality. Everything in good condition and the bike is ready to be ridden away (chain could do with a bit of a clean, though!)

    Holdsworth 531 frame (48cm c-t seat tube, 53cm c-c top tube)
Andel fluted chainset with 46t chainring
    MKS Sylvan pedals
    Shimano Deore DX seatpost
    Selle San Marco Laser saddle
System EX hubs laced to Alex rims
    Continental Gatorskin tyres
Classic quill stem and swept-back bars

All in all a very classy little runner!
My wife is 5'1" so should fit anyone around that size or maybe a touch taller.

Yours for just £150 collected from N9 8RS.
    Cheers!

    Loads more pics here

(if you want the child as well then let me know and we'll negotiate a price)

  • Lovely!

  • Pm'd

  • I'll take the child please pending size?

  • That frame looks very old ! 40-50s I'd say. I have a similar fork on mine, which is from 1939. Lugless makes me think of a lady rare La Quelda? If there ever was a lady version of it.
Also the seat stays are reminiscent of the Cyclone and similar frameset of that era.

    Very nice.

  • Second luscious dibs?

  • Actually it is a lady Holdsworth La Quelda:

So possibly a late 40s, early 50s one. Neat.

  • gorgeous! Third dibs if any of this falls through!

  • Ridiculous 4th dibs

  • I hope whoever gets her, brings her back to her former glory.

  • For completeness sake: I believe this is not really a mixte frame. The downtube needs to run all the way to the rear axle for a frame to be called 'mixte'.
I am just noting, this doesn't detract from the value or the prettiness of the bike in any way!

  • That is indeed correct .

I have spoken with the VCC's Holdsworth marquee enthusiast and this is the second lady La Quelda he has ever seen.

  • Sounds like its way sold but calling dibs anyway to try my luck!

  • I'm selling this if anyone is interested
