might be a bit late, but careful with mini vs. On earlier cross bikes the canti studs are closer together so mini vs and modern cantis won't fit. old canti studs are about 68mm apart, new ones nearer 82mm. If the rear bosses are about 62mm then you can run shimano cx-50 or cx-70 cantis, which are the best ones that will fit.
also you could try a allen key skewer on the singular?
Cheers @dragonflyblu , looks better dirty ;)
So heres one thats been sitting for a while. I traded an old pair of mavic cosmic wheels for this frame for my other half. A sweet little 51x51 Dutch cross bike, in Columbus Genius tubes. Straight up cross bike - no mudguard eyelets, no holes in the bridges or crown, top of toptube cable stops, pretty neat.
Plans:
1x10 cross bike with kojaks for faster day rides on mostly road, some gravel. Sram force crankset, 42t nw, 11-32, x9 short rear mech, deda piega 26.0 compact bars, tektro mini V, and cheapo but very durable/ servicable shimano r501 wheelset.
The initial idea was risers, but since her Basso tourer/ commuter has got a similar cockpit, drops are beginning to seem more suitable.
