If more pro teams and brands join we will see money pumped into people that actually train hard, also a lot more technology will be put into fixed crit bikes as it becomes uniquely separate from track racing.

Are you really that against grassroots participation that you slag off everyone involved?
Surprisingly enough, lots of the riders in smaller teams do it for the same reason lots of people went there - it's fun. If you can get someone to pay for your sunglasses and energy drinks while you're doing something you love, why wouldn't you?
There are multiple fixed crits to enter in the UK, if RHC is supposed to be the most prestigious then its a chance for the strongest and fastest riders to show the rest what hard work and training really looks like.

Dani King swept up because she has trained to be the best at competing, not to race for 5 minutes of fame, she's the kind of person that will inspire the next generation of the sport.
