I'm selling this Raleigh 531 fixed gear conversion I put together a few years ago which isn't getting used.
Seat tube: 53cm
Top tube: 58cm
Frame is a Raleigh Record Ace 531 and was originally designed for 27" wheels.
It once looked a lot like this:
It's been powder coated and the coating is still in great condition. There's probably a couple of minor dings / scratches.
I built the wheels myself. They are straight and true. Rigida Chrina 32 rims laced to on-one hubs with good quality (Sapim or DT I think) spokes. The rear is a fixed / fixed.
Stronglight chainset (165mm cranks)
MKS pedals
Stronglight headset (looks a bit tattty)
Decent bottom bracket (but can't remember the brand)
Silly narrow bars and brake. The Miche caliper could do with being a tad longer to prevent rubbing on the tyre but it'll get you home / might be fine!
I have some drop bars with hoods and a shorter quill stem if you'd rather have those instead. I can swap them over if needed.
San Marco Rolls saddle which I recovered in leather one bored weekend.
£160 - Collection only from Eastbourne
It should make a bargain commuter for someone. It looks like all the braze-ons are still there if you wanted to turn it back to a geared bike also.
I can't be bothered to post it which is why it's still here and hasn't been ebay'd yet so It's got to be collection only from Eastbourne. I'd be happy to meet anyone at the station for a quick turnaround back to London.
