My CAAD12 frame had to be drilled to allow the Di2 cables through - I had thought that this model was a single, cable or Di2 affair - did I make a massive error?

Where does it need to be drilled? The CAAD12 are internally routed, wherever a cable go through, wire can also.

Is there's no port on the front derailleur? Haven't look at that, going to tomorrow at work.

Dunno but @Shroom did it without drilling i think.
