Stuck barrel. Calling Mercedes tomorrow to see if they can get me a barrel that uses current keys

As it seems like a 5 min job with the right tool I might ask them to do it for me

See what a locksmith can do. On the 525 the lock broke/jammed and is a common problem. Took the new lock to a decent locksmith and he dismantled the lock and made the old key fit. But not the original key that came with the lock.
