  • Not without it's problems though and the seller comes across as pretty clueless.

I'm always leery of frames sold with bottom bracket in place, especially aluminium ones. Even if it's suitable for your chosen cranks, I'm not sure that regreasing a cartridge BB is worth the trouble.

The biggest problem is the rear dropout/mech hanger: I wouldn't trust him to know WTF is actually wrong and realigning aluminium is just as likely to break it, as straighten it.

"132mm rear drop out inner width - widens to standard 135mm modern standard": it's a MTB/disc ready frame?

"summer fixie ride"? Well I suppose, you'd have some cash leftover for a White Industries eccentric hub.

So it was the previous owner who fucked it up? M'kay.

  • He does a reasonably good trade in buying and selling stuff, so I'd take what he says with a pinch of salt. I only know him because I sold him a frame, dropped it off for him and then he moaned about the condition (it was clearly photographed) and tried to get some money taken off. Just came across like a bit of an arse, and I wouldn't trust his sales at all.
