Microplanes all day long. OK, yes, not rotary and USA made, but I've two (one for hard cheeses, one for cheddary consistency cheeses) and they've been faultless for five years. Easy to clean, razor sharp and flat for storage. Unless you are grating industrial quantities of cheese it would be the only choice for me.

I've been using one of these http://www.divertimenti.co.uk/cuisipro-box-grater.html?
for around 5 years. It remains as sharp as it was on day 1.
If you aren't set on a rotary one this is the business.
Microplane technology without the plastic pain.
Mine came from John Lewis although they don't appear to sell them any more. -

mandolin?
possibly does it all
Are there any brands that make kitchenware in the UK? Or eu even?
Need a rotary cheesegrater.
If it's all made in China no use paying premium. USA made on broke in 4 months ffs.
