  • Those big drops at the end are certainly not British Cycling friendly.

Two hours at Battle in the Bowl was bad enough without having to get off and jump over stuff. Not sure I could take an extra hour.

  • Nothing on the page about bike restrictions etc...

  • Spam alert! Some CX tubs for sale here:

Excellent condition. These retail at £60 each - I'm selling the pair for £30!

  • Summer Series dates and venues confirmed;

Round 1: Thursday 21 July - Addington Park
Round 2: Wednesday 27 July - Redbridge Cycling Centre
Round 3: Thursday 04 August - Morden Park
Round 4: Thursday 11 August - Herne Hill

  • Nice one Andy. None of those look likely for me 😭

Gonna start training now for 2017

  • I'll try to race the London ones, I shall be proper rubbish but will try to get out of people's way.

  • Exciting.

Hope to be at Addington, Redbridge & Herne Hill.

Anyone know what the schedule is for races?

  • They normally start at 7 pm. All of them are EoL (Entry on the line).

There are coaching sessions at Herne Hill tomorrow and next Thursday evenings. See attached flyer.

  • Thanks - will try and make next weeks

  • Morden Park last year was ace. Well organized and lovely weather.

Like HH though, there are flies that bite.

  • It was a fun evening reminding that no matter how shit I am at dismounts, my remounts are even worse. Usual format; laps of the back, the hill by the brick wall, dis/remounts with planks and sprints/starts. A good refresher.

I saw someone (Hendo I think I heard?) get bitten tonight, looked painful. Not as painful as the bloke who came off onto the same knee twice in one evening; he had nasty looking scratches.

  • given that they're almost identical, should I go for the Kinesis CXD or the Kinesis CX Disc forks? I asked Kinesis and they said the CXD is slightly stiffer, but the CX Disc has more clearance. Here's a comparative profile of the two forks

    CX Disc

  • Anyone riding Incredibly Cross tomorrow near Hounslow?

  • Was hoping to go but < insert excuse >

  • Anyone riding Incredibly Cross tomorrow near Hounslow?

    What time is it?

  • That could be done.

Any chance you can PM where it's going to be?

    Wait, no problem: found it.

  • Incredibly Cross today is CANCELLED due to illness. Spread the word.

  • Actually, given the heat, maybe that was a bullet dodged.

  • First of the cx summer series is at addington park down near croydon - what's the course like? Any recommendations of what would be sensible tyres to use?

  • It's all on grass, doesn't look like we'll have much, if any rain, between now and Thursday so I'd go for a file tread tyre if you have them. If not, then the fastest tyre you own.
