Contador struggling on the descent
-
• #378
How far back is GVA in GC? Could he put on yellow with enough time to cause others a bit of a Voeckler-esque headache?
-
• #379
18 seconds.
A good patsy to hold it for a few days though.
-
• #380
No. He'll be 45 minutes back at least come Paris.
-
• #381
Nm then!
-
• #382
For some reason, he went back to the team car. Schoolboy error.
-
• #383
GVA on his own out front now.
-
• #384
What happened to nibali?
-
• #385
He sat up. Presumably to lose time to allow him to get in the breaks in the Pyrenees.

• #386
.

I know he said he would punt for Aru but he doesn't strike me the sort of person to be that kind of Domestique. I would have thought he would stick with Aru just in case things changed and he had a shot at the double.
-
• #388
Not a GC contender then? Or is he back amongst the big boys? Apologies I missed the splitting of the peloton..
-
• #389
Nibbs to get charged up again and put 8 minutes into everyone tomorrow . Back in yellow
-
• #390
Aru is the Astana team leader for the Tour. Nibali has a free role, and is riding to mainly get in shape for the Olympics.
-
• #391
Ohkay! Will do some research tomorrow and find out who the team leaders are, obviously I'm working from out of date information..
-
• #392
It's a Sagan kind of day tomorrow so no hope of that happening.
-
• #393
GVA wins.
Meanwhile Bardet attacks, GC guys all over the place. Contador losing time.
-
• #394
Not a huge GVA fan - but that was an impressive win
-
• #395
Contador loses another 20 seconds or so.
-
• #396
Good stuff overall.
-
• #397
Contador is suffering. See him come over the line one arm sticking out and the other straight. Going up those climbs he looked stiff as a board. He's hurting.
-
• #398
Classy win.
-
• #399
Contador looks fucked!
Where's Pinot in the GC? How far out is he? -
• #400
I reckon with that lead, GVA definitely has two days in yellow, might even make it as far as four.
What are we betting on?
van Avermaet to win and take yellow or a surge from the chasing six to catch them on the final climb?
I'm going for the latter and boldly presuming that the peleton won't make the catch today.
